THE BRILLIANT DESIGN OF ICE CREAM HAS BEEN OUT OF FASHION?

The most wanted fast-and-furious dessert of all time, cone, has run out of fuel in the chase with ice cream tube. According to The Grocer, the consumption of cone has dropped by 5.5% while those of tube has surged by 6.9%. Quite an enchanting figure and not so charming fact that we have forgot having our pleasure running down to our fingers.

Unlike tube, cone has an excellent design. Take Cornetto for example. It arouses your appetite with a mouthwatering surface decorated with syrup, crispy nuts and mini cones. Then it directs you down to the narrowing channel of pleasure to the point where the pleasure ends. The essence of a Cornetto is that you can never forget there is a happy ending: the nearer you get to it, the closer together your fingers. And by "it", your imagination should get you to a solid piece of chocolate - a tiny cone within a cone.

On the other hand, a tube of ice cream is a lack of sensitivity. Nothing can stop you with your 500ml Fanny's but the bottom of it. If you stretch a cone for a long time, you will have a chance to enjoy it on your fingers. On contrary to a tube, it makes sure you end up full and clean.

However sweet it may sound, the king of cone, Cornetto, is not having the time of his life. Its sales has fallen down by 14%. Being introduced in the decade of stereotypes, Cornetto was enormous. But that was when every body was younger and had smaller appetites than they do now. Perhaps it takes both the flavor and the favor to make ice cream after all. Unilever agrees with a plan to launch a massive 160ml Cornetto, assuring you are satisfied every night while traveling down to the channel of pleasure.

That seems like a shame, even though, as they might miss the point of a cone.

IT IS A LITTLE ROUGH TODAY | IT IS

"My philosophy is: It's none of my business what people say of me and think of me. I am what I am and I do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. And it makes life so much easier" - Anthony Hopkins.

Lincoln once said: "You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry". So what makes you angry? A few of you may say 'making macarons', some would say 'being betrayed' and others may think 'unpleasant things'. I'll take things like this:

'Making macarons' is a passion. It's still going on.
'Being betrayed' is a circumstance. It's the past.
'Unpleasant things' is too blurred. It's the future.

To me, I am angry about what's going on right now, which is my passion, fashion. I think I'm in love with it more than I thought.

This is not what fashion is. Pull down to the end to see what it truly is.

I had dinner last night at Paris Deli on Nha Chung street. Dessert only. It was Valentine, yes. But it was more than just a day to give and receive. I finally decided that I'd put my love life aside and focus on my career. A part of me accepted the fact that I'd die alone, old and dry. The other parts kept telling me: "Let it be". So I let go.

Let it be. Try The Beatles or Glee. I go for Glee.

I have a bike now. I'll repaint it, buy a new bucket, bags and a few other things. I love riding only 2 things, one is bike and one is car. Motorbike is not my thing. Besides, I'm poor, I don't have money for gas or oil or whatever it is.

Have you ever tried living on your own?

Anyway. There are 3 major things for me: knowledge, relationships and money. I'm having chances to gain the first 2 things, so I don't mind having little money. I know it takes patience and belief to finally have them all.

I miss school sometimes. It was my pride and my home.
I wonder what you guys are doing in college now. Is it fun? Do you have lots of knowledge and experience from what you learn? Tell me. Enlighten me. Or just ask me out, I need new friends.

I'm looking forward to Tuesday. I could make it or break it. I remember crying almost every day during the first month I started my job. I didn't get the way we were working, I felt small and insecure. I burst out into tears when I had coffee with my friend because I was stressed. But I put myself together and kept improving myself. I'm better than that.

And I quit smoking. Successfully.

Fashion. It's annoying and lovable.
